O'Hare - Take I-190 E out of the airport then merge onto I-94 E and take exit 50B toward Ohio St E, merge onto W Ohio St. Turn left onto N Dearborn St, turn left onto W Huron St. The Godfrey Hotel will be on your left.
Midway - Take I-55 N/Stevenson Expressway, exit onto I-90/I-94 W and take exit 50B toward Ohio St E, merge onto W Ohio St. Turn left onto N Dearborn St, turn left onto W Huron St. The Godfrey Hotel will be on your left.
O'Hare Blue Line "L" Train Information
The normal travel time on the Blue Line from O'Hare to downtown, is 40-45 minutes.
Blue Line trains run 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and all trains leaving the O’Hare station go through downtown.
Getting to the Blue Line from Terminals 1, 2 or 3
If you're coming from domestic and international flights arriving at Terminals 1, 2 or 3, follow signs in the airport to "CTA Trains" or "Trains to City." These will lead you to the train station. You can walk from the baggage claim to the train in under ten minutes from any of these three terminals.
Getting to the Blue Line from Terminal 5
If you're coming from international flights that land in Terminal 5, follow signs to the Airport Transit System (ATS). Ride the next train to Terminal 2 and exit the train at the station. Then, follow signs to "CTA Trains" or "Trains to City."
Purchase a Fare Ticket (Ventra Ticket) at the CTA Ventra Vending Machine:
Single-ride Ticket: $3 pp
Includes a full fare and two transfers (a $2.50 value), plus a $0.50 limited-use media fee.
1-Day Pass Ticket: $10 pp
Good for unlimited rides for 24 hours.
Two Options:
1) Ride the Blue Line "L" train towards Forest Park to the Clark / Lake stop. Walk up the stairs to ground level and take a short $5-$7 cab ride to the hotel.
2) Ride the Blue Line "L" train towards Forest Park to the Washington stop for a Red Line transfer. Follow the signs to the Red Line train through the mall, your ticket will allow a transfer so use it again and ride the Red Line towards Howard, go 2 stops to Chicago.
